Aarti Gadhia is born and raised in Nairobi Kenya. In 1998, she moved to UK to pursue a degree in Financial Economics at the University of Wales Swansea and worked for an educational charity. Aarti moved to Vancouver Canada in 2004 and joined the cyber security industry through an entry level position. She has worked at Sophos, Trend Micro and Carbon Black (VMWare). Last year, Aarti joined Bugcrowd to build the International Business and introduce the concept of crowdsource security in Canada & APAC. Over the last 15 years as a Cyber Security Sales Professional, Aarti has been contributing towards creating our digital world safer by educating organizations globally and recommending strategies and tools to minimize the risk of a security breach. Outside of her role, she is passionate about bridging the diversity gap in STEM and in leadership. She founded Standout To Lead to empower women to join corporate boards through workshops. She also founded SHE (Sharing Her Empowerment) which creates local chapters within organizations with the mission to be a collective voice to influence change and close the gender diversity gap. She is part of the committee for OWASP Vancouver to recruit women and encourage them to be a speaker. She volunteers her time with ISACA Vancouver She Leads Tech to build partnerships across Canada. Aarti was recently nominated in the Top 20 Women in Cyber Security Honoree Award by WISECRA and ITWorld Canada. Due to her international background, she loves to travel and learn different cultures.
